Jose Teng has done just that – with a £35 million bid for Barcelona forward Luis Suarez.
“I was a Liverpool fan when I first moved to Barcelona and a Barca fan when I first went there,” the 34-year-old told El Mundo Deportivo.”My father wanted to leave to go to Barcelona but I wanted to play for Liverpool, and they agreed, so the thought of Suarez joining us was something I could not refuse.
“I cannot see him leaving. He doesn’t cost any more than Bale and a new striker that I think will come in as well. I have seen Neymar in action and he is a brilliant player with his skill, so I think he will end his career at the Camp Nou and he can play for Liverpool.”

“He has had two seasons of games, as well as a number of injuries, and a lot of injuries, but he deserves to be in the mix,” said the former Chelsea and Uruguay international.
“He has a lot of things that we as players need to improve on. It is not so easy for an 18-year-old like Suarez, so we have to help him. It is our job to help him, because we cannot afford to lose him.”
